Nearly 40 members of St. Mary's church choir in Warwick
Nearly 40 members of St. Mary's church choir in Warwick, climbed the church tower this morning to sing hymns for Ascension Day and to launch their latest LP record. With their choirmaster, Mr. Geoffrey Holroyde, they sang several hymns from the record "18 Popular Hymns", a psalm and an anthem. The record is the sixth they have made and it will be on sale next week which is Christian Aid Week and the proceeds will be going to Christian Aid. Singing from the church tower on Ascension Day is a tradition said to date back to the Middle Ages.
