The Wedding took place at St Paul's Cathedral on 29th July 1981
Princess Diana in her wedding dress, pictured at Buckingham Palace after the ceremony.
Diana wore an ivory silk taffeta and antique lace gown, with a 25-foot (7.62 m) train, valued then at £9000. It became one of the most famous dresses in the world, and was considered one of the most closely guarded secrets in fashion history. The dress was designed by David and Elizabeth Emanuel.

Get me St Pauls on time!...Comedian Spike Milligan has to run along the road to attend the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer after he got out of his Rolls Royce to say hello to fans lining the street. Spikes Rolls Royce carried on without him to the delight of the onlookers.
