Port Talbot's dedicated band of unpaid lifeguards took command of a new high speed

Port Talbot's dedicated band of unpaid lifeguards took command of a new high speed rescue craft yesterday, courtesy of locally based components firm Borg Warner Automotive.
The Aberavon Surf Life Saving Club's 12 year-old rescue craft had ended its useful life and the company came up with the £2,720 sea Rider rescue vessel following a personal appeal from the lifeguards. The old one was sold to pay for the new engine.
Picture shows: Lifeguard Club President Mr Doug Rees with Mr Terry Williams, Director of Operation at Borg Warner's Kenfig Hill Plant, after the handing over of a new rescue boat.
