A Talon 3B robot recovering a stick of dynamite and other explosive devices in Bahrain

Manama, Bahrain, June 14, 2005 - The Talon 3B robot recovers a stick of dynamite and other explosive devices at the a Bahrain training range. The explosive devices being used in the training are commonly seen by personnel forward deployed in Iraq and around the world. Technicians assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit operate the robot from safe locations through the use of monitors and video equipment attached to the unit. The Robot is designed for the search and destruction of Improvised Explosive Devices as well as other forms of ordnance found in Iraq, assisting EOD by conducting maritime security operations
