Red-shouldered Hawk eating snake

A sudden afternoon thunderstorm flooded the prairie and created perfect hunting conditions for this red-shouldered hawk, that managed to catch a snake. However, the catching was the easy part as the bird struggled to swallow the snake alive, regurgitating it several times before finally swallowing it, while all the while the snake struggled frantically to escape
