Text on this engraving, including motto, reads: 103 Blaney, Lord Blaney (Blayney) INTEGRA MENS AUGUSTISSIMA POSSESSIO (An honest mind is the most glorious possession). Edward Blayney (Blainey or Blaney) (1570-1629?) was the 1st Baron Blayney. A Welsh soldier in Ireland, he became Baron Blayney of Monaghan in the Peerage of Ireland. Monaghan is the county town of County Monaghan. HOSTIS HONORI INVIDIA (Envy is the foe of honour). Bennet Sherard was created 1st Baron Leitrim in 1627. The baronetcy became extinct in 1859. Baron Leitrim was also Earl of Harborough. Leitrim is in County Leitrim, part of the province of Connacht in Ireland.
