Midas with the pitcher - Greek mythology

King Midas of the Golden Touch is known in Greek mythology for being able to transform everything he touched into gold, following his encounter with a mysterious stranger. It became a disastrous gift when his beloved daughter was also turned to gold. The stranger returned and declared that the process could be reversed if Midas took a pitcher to the river, filled it, and sprinkled the water over everything which had been transformed to gold.
