The Countess Spencer
Charlotte Frances Frederica Spencer, Countess Spencer VA (n?Seymour) (1835 1903), daughter of Frederick Charles William Seymour (a son of Lord Hugh Seymour) and Lady Augusta Hervey (a daughter of the 1st Marquess of Bristol). Charlotte married the 5th Earl Spencer in 1858 and became Countess Spencer. The marriage was childless, and the 5th Earl, known as the Red Earl due to his distinctive red beard, was succeeded by his half-brother, Charles Spencer. Date: 1902

Sir Horace Edward Moss (1852 - 1912), British theatre impresario and the founder, chairman and joint managing director of the Moss Empires Ltd, the largest group of variety theatres in the UK during the early twentieth century. Well-known for opening the London Hippodrome in 1900, an immense and innovative variety theatre which was the flagship of the group. Pictured at his home, Middleton Hall, Gorebridge, near Edinburgh.
