The Western Gull (Larus occidentalis) is a large seabird that belongs to the Laridae family of Charadriiformes birds, and is native to the Pacific Coast of North America, ranging from Alaska to Baja California, white head and neck, gray back and wings, and black wingtips. Its bill is yellow with a red spot near the tip. Adults reach up to 24 inches in length with a wingspan of up to 57 inches. They feed mainly on fish, crustaceans, mollusks, insects and carrion.
