Ghost Pipefish Collection

Ghost Pipefish (Solenostomus paradoxus) are small, bottom-dwelling fish found in the Indo-Pacific region. They have an elongated body and a long snout, giving them a ghostly appearance. Their coloration ranges from yellow to brown and can be mottled or striped. Ghost Pipefish feed on tiny crustaceans and plankton, using their long snouts to suck up prey from the seafloor, and are well camouflaged against the sea floor due to their coloration and shape, making them difficult for predators to spot and can typically found in shallow waters near coral reefs or seagrass beds where they can easily find food sources. They form monogamous pairs during mating season, with males carrying eggs until they hatch into larvae which then drift away with ocean currents before settling down as adults in new habitats.
