Moorish Idol Collection

The Moorish Idol is a species of small, tropical fish that is found in the Indo-Pacific region and has an oval-shaped body with a white base and yellow stripes running along its sides. Its head is black with a yellow stripe running down the center. They are reach up to 8 inches in length and can live for up to 10 years in captivity, and are active swimmers and prefer to swim in groups of 3 or more, making them popular aquarium fish. They feed on plankton, algae, worms, crustaceans, and other small invertebrates found near coral reefs. The Moorish Idol is considered one of the most beautiful fish species due to its bright colors and unique patterning; however it can be difficult to keep as they are sensitive to water quality changes and require plenty of hiding places within their tank environment.
