Red Salmon, also known as Sockeye Salmon, is a species of anadromous fish found in the Pacific Ocean, and is one of the five species of Pacific salmon and is highly sought after for its rich flavor and firm texture and can native to cold-water streams and rivers along the coasts of Alaska, British Columbia, Washington State, Oregon and Northern California. They migrate long distances to spawn in their natal streams where they were born. The adult fish have bright red bodies with silvery sides and a white belly.
