Chinkara Collection

Chinkara, also known as Indian Gazelle, is a species of bovid mammals found in the dry regions of India and Pakistan, and is the only living species in its genus and is classified as vulnerable by IUCN due to hunting for meat and habitat loss, and are small animals with a reddish-brown coat that turns yellowish-gray during summer. They have long ears, slender legs, and a white underside. Males have horns up to 20 cm long while females do not have horns, and are mainly herbivorous animals that feed on grasses, shrubs, fruits, leaves and flowers, and are active during the day but can also be seen at night in search of food or water sources. Chinkaras live in small herds with one male dominating the group while females form smaller subgroups within them. The main threats to their survival include poaching for meat and habitat loss due to human activities such as overgrazing or deforestation.
