Sumatrana Collection

Sumatrana is a species of Cercopithecidae mammals, native to the island of Sumatra in Indonesia, and are small primates, with an average body length of about 30 cm and a weight ranging from 1.5-3 kg. They have long tails that can be up to twice their body length and they are usually light brown or grey in color with white patches on their faces and chests. Sumatranas inhabit tropical rainforests where they feed mainly on fruits, leaves, flowers, insects and other small animals. They live in groups of up to 15 individuals and spend most of their time foraging for food or playing together in trees. As they are arboreal animals, they move around by jumping from branch to branch or by swinging between them using their long tails as support, and are endangered due to habitat loss caused by deforestation activities and illegal hunting for bushmeat trade.
