Jaguar Collection

Jaguar (Panthera onca) is a large, powerful cat native to the Americas, and is the third-largest feline after the tiger and lion, and the largest in the Americas. The jaguar's distinctive coat features an orange base with black spots and stripes. Its head is relatively large with powerful jaws and strong teeth adapted for hunting prey such as deer, peccaries, tapirs, turtles, caimans, fish and frogs, and are solitary animals that live in dense forests or swamps but can also be found in open grasslands or scrubland areas, and are excellent climbers and swimmers who use their claws to climb trees for food or shelter from predators. Jaguars have been listed as Near Threatened by IUCN since 2002 due to habitat loss caused by deforestation; however conservation efforts have helped increase their numbers in some areas of Central America.
