Mountain Goat Collection

Mountain Goats are a species of wild goat that is native to North America, and are well adapted to living in mountainous regions, and can be found in the Rocky Mountains, Alps, and other mountain ranges. Mountain Goats have thick fur coats that help them stay warm in cold climates. They also have cloven hooves which help them climb steep slopes with ease. Mountain Goats feed on grasses, herbs, lichens, mosses, twigs and leaves as well as fruits when available, and are social animals and live in herds of up to 30 individuals led by an alpha male and can live for up to 15 years in the wild but may reach 20 years of age if kept in captivity. These animals play an important role in their ecosystem by grazing on vegetation which helps prevent overgrowth of certain plants while providing food for predators such as wolves or bears.
