Brunneus Collection

Brunneus is a genus of mammals in the family Pitheciidae. These animals are found in South America, primarily in the Amazon Basin and parts of Central America, and are arboreal primates that live mainly in trees, and they feed on fruits, flowers, leaves, insects and small vertebrates. They have a wide range of body sizes ranging from 15 to 40 cm long with tails up to 50 cm long. They have thick fur that can be black or brownish-gray with white patches on their faces and backs. Their faces are flat with large eyes and ears which help them detect predators from far away. They also have strong claws which help them climb trees quickly and easily.
