John White Abbott Collection

John White Abbott was an English painter and engraver of the early 19th century. He was born in 1763, and is best known for his portraits of famous figures such as William Pitt the Younger, George III, and Lord Nelson. His works were exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1790 to 1820. He also produced a number of landscapes and genre scenes.
