Three weeks after marriage. Print shows a man standing on the left offering portraits of new passions to George, Prince of Wales, who is seated on a sofa beneath portraits of The Perdita and The Armstead; the man tells George that The originals have been carefully tried, and are in fine order for your H--s, as for Fitz - she must put up with my Comfits, for you know, your H--s, you may have twenty such wives. George, meanwhile, holds portraits of new beauties and a list of com...able wives widows and crackt maids... Wel-e purveyor. A copy of Uncle Morgan's Frolics, second edition, lies open on the sofa, a sheet variety is charming has fallen to the floor. On the right, stands Maria Fitzherbert who exclaims Confusion! have I been...-up with a mock-marriage...; at her feet, open to the title page, is Who's the Dupe.. Date 1786 April 10th. The paddy's at dinner with Puddinghead the Regent. Print shows George, Prince of Wales, seated at a table eating and drinking with several bulls, the Paddys, a reference to the Prince's Irish supporters, of whom two wear crowns. The illness of George III (1788-1790) raised the issue of a limited regency for the Prince. Date 1789 April 10. The paddy's at dinner with Puddinghead the Regent.
