The atmosphere was electric as both sets of fans eagerly anticipated an exciting encounter between two teams with promising starts to the season. Brighton's fans, dressed in their iconic blue and white stripes, were in full voice, creating a sea of color and noise in the away end. The game began with both teams showing their attacking intent, creating numerous chances in the opening minutes. However, it was Reading who struck first, taking a 1-0 lead in the 21st minute through a well-worked team goal.
