Darenth is a village located in the county of Kent, England and is situated on the River Darent and has a population of around 1,000 people. The village has a long history dating back to before the Norman Conquest when it was part of an estate owned by Odo, Bishop of Bayeux. It was mentioned in the Domesday Book as Derinte and later became known as Darinthe or Darende.
