Kensington Palace is a royal residence located in Kensington Gardens, London, England and has been a residence of the British Royal Family since the 17th century and is currently home to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The palace was originally built in 1605 as a two-storey Jacobean mansion for Sir George Coppin. In 1689 William III and Mary II acquired it as their London residence.
