Castle Rising Collection

Castle Rising is a castle located in Norfolk, England. It was built in the 12th century by William d'Aubigny II and is one of the largest and best-preserved Norman keeps in England. The castle has a large inner bailey surrounded by an outer bailey with two gatehouses. Inside the keep are three floors of rooms including a great hall, chapel, kitchen and other living quarters. The walls are made of flint rubble with ashlar dressings and have been well preserved over time. Castle Rising is now owned by Lord Howard de Walden who maintains it as a tourist attraction for visitors to explore its history and architecture and has been used as a filming location for many films such as "The Other Boleyn Girl" (2008).
