Farnley Collection

Farnley is a small village located in West Yorkshire, England and is situated between Leeds and Bradford and lies within the City of Leeds metropolitan borough. The village has a population of around 1,000 people and is home to numerous historic buildings, including Farnley Hall which dates back to 1615. The area was historically known for its coal mining industry and many of the local buildings were constructed with stone from nearby quarries. Today, Farnley is mainly a residential area with some light industry located in the surrounding areas. There are several pubs, shops and places of worship in the village as well as a primary school which serves the local community. It also has strong links to sport; it is home to two football clubs – Farnley Sports Club and Farnley Falcons – as well as an athletics club which competes at regional level.
