EDITORS COMMENTS
This breathtaking aerial view captures the majestic beauty of the Ewaso Ngiro River as it winds its way through the stunning landscapes of Samburu National Park in Kenya. The river, which originates from Mount Kenya, flows north before turning east and eventually joining the Jubba River in Somalia. Spanning an expansive upper basin of 15,200 square kilometers, the Ewaso Ngiro River is a lifeline for both wildlife and human populations in this arid to semi-arid region. Its continuous water supply, sourced from glaciers on Mount Kenya, sustains a diverse range of species and supports vital socio-economic developments. As we gaze upon this image, we are reminded of the critical role that rivers play in shaping our world. The contrasting physiographic features along its course showcase nature's remarkable ability to adapt and thrive even under challenging conditions. In this photograph by Danita Delimont from Fine Art Storehouse, there are no people present. Instead, our focus is drawn to the vastness of nature itself - an untamed landscape that stretches out before us with awe-inspiring grandeur. This print serves as a powerful reminder of our interconnectedness with nature and highlights the importance of preserving such precious ecosystems for generations to come.
