This lithograph, published in 1897, showcases a collection of poisonous plants with intricate details. The print features nine different species, each depicted with precision and accuracy. Starting from the right side, we see Cowbane (Cicuta virosa), its fruits, schizocarps, blossom, and even a sliced root. Next to it is Herb-paris (Paris quadrifolia) displaying its unique fruit and stamen. Fools parsley (Aethusa Cynapium) follows suit with its delicate blossom, schizocarp, and ripe fruits. Moving towards the center of the composition is Hemlock (Conium maculatum), showcasing both its fruit and blossoms in great detail.
