EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases the enchanting Old Town Waterfront of Chanthaburi, a classic Thailand community steeped in ancient traditions. Nestled along the river, with a majestic temple as its heart, this town has stood for over a century. As a proud native of Chanthaburi, capturing this view was no easy feat. The presence of fierce dogs and the lack of stable ground made it challenging to set up my camera. However, my determination paid off when I witnessed the first light gently illuminating the golden pagoda. Chanthaburi, also known as Muang Chant, is located approximately 250 kilometers southeast of Bangkok. Renowned for its gem trade and mouthwatering tropical fruits, this vibrant town is blessed with abundant natural resources including stunning beaches, cascading waterfalls, breathtaking coral reefs, and majestic mountain peaks. The main artery flowing through Chanthaburi is the picturesque Chanthaburi River. This particular area captured in the photograph represents the oldest part of the city – an area that has been home to overseas Chinese and Vietnamese communities for more than a century. As I gaze upon this image from www. tonnaja. com's Fine Art Storehouse collection, I am reminded of my cherished hometown's rich history and cultural heritage. It serves as a testament to both its timeless beauty and enduring spirit.
