"Barefoot: A Journey Through Time and Culture" From Santa Claus at the Beach to French Boules Players, being barefoot transcends time and culture, and is a symbol of freedom, simplicity, and connection with nature. In Leon-Maxime Faivre's painting "Deux meres (Two Mothers), " we see two women embracing their children while standing barefoot on the earth.
