"Bertha: A Tale of War, Art, and Resilience" In the midst of the First World War, a name echoed through history - Bertha. But this story is not about the company; it's about the remarkable individuals who bore this name and left an indelible mark on their respective fields. Firstly, there was Big Bertha M42, a German gun that struck fear into the hearts of many during those tumultuous times. Its sheer power and destructive force became synonymous with devastation on the battlefield. Meanwhile, in London, Inspector Alice B Clayden stood tall alongside her three brothers as they faced countless challenges together. Their unwavering courage and determination exemplified true heroism amidst chaos. On a lighter note, The Golliwoggs Bicycle Club found themselves surrounded by cannibals in an unexpected adventure. Through wit and resourcefulness, they managed to outsmart their captors and escape unscathed – proving that even in dire circumstances, humor can prevail. The White Star Line's RMS Olympic adorned postcards with its majestic presence alongside a towering crane. This symbolized both progress and hope for a brighter future amidst uncertain times. Speaking of cranes, Harland and Wolff's drawing depicted RMS Titanic floating gracefully above water – an engineering marvel that would later meet tragedy but forever be remembered as a testament to human ambition. Artistic endeavors also played a significant role in our tale. Jean Rousselot tirelessly worked at his craft while Slade Art School nurtured talented women sculptors who defied societal norms to pursue their passion for art. Furthermore, Women’s Life-school celebrated women artists within its studios - empowering them to express themselves freely despite prevailing prejudices against female creatives at the time. Lastly but certainly not least important were Karl Marx and his wife Jenny von Westphalen Marx. Their intellectual contributions shaped political ideologies worldwide – reminding us that ideas have immense power to shape society.
