Coventry City v Nottingham Forest football match played at Highfield Road

Coventry City v Nottingham Forest football match played at Highfield Road and ended in a 0-0 draw. Coventry's Mick Ferguson heads the ball towards the Notts Forest Goalkeeper Peter Shilton, who is seen here poised and ready to make a fantastic save in the 35th minute which forced the ball over the crossbar. Had Shilton not made the save, Notts would not have clinched the First division champions title for Brian Clough's remarkable side. Former Coventry City goalkeeper, Bill Glazier, described it as "one of the greatest saves I have ever seen." Sky Blues striker MIck Ferguson said: " I thought I had done everything right and it looked a certain goal." 22nd April 1978
