Harvesting honey, 15th century

Harvesting honey. 15th-century artwork showing the collection and use of honey, as part of a section describing honey's medicinal and therapeutic properties. This artwork is from a 15th-century Italian copy of a manuscript by the Andalusian Arab physician Albucasis (936-1013). The manuscript title translates as Observations on the nature of different alimentary and hygenic products'. A copy of the manuscript is held at the Bibliotheque nationale de France (BnF)
