"Dreyfus: The Trial that Shook a Nation and Changed History" In the late 19th century, France was embroiled in one of its most notorious scandals - the Dreyfus Affair. It all began with an article by Emile Zola, titled "J'Accuse. . " which accused the French government of falsely convicting Alfred Dreyfus, a Jewish artillery officer. The Dreyfus Trial became a symbol of injustice and anti-Semitism in France. Amidst public outrage, Zola penned an open letter to the President of the French Republic, demanding justice for Dreyfus.
