Sparring with Joe Bugner on May 25th, 1972 further solidified John Conteh's reputation as a skilled light heavyweight boxer who constantly sought challenges to improve himself. Another notable fight occurred against Okacha Boubekeur at Hotel Cafe Royal in London where John showcased his prowess once again. His relentless pursuit of victory never wavered throughout his career.
