Mick Chatterton, a legendary motorcycle racer, has left an indelible mark on the world of racing. From his early days in the 1960s to his triumphant moments in the 2000s, Chatterton's name is synonymous with speed and skill. In 1962, alongside Terry Grotefeld (Aermacchi), Mick Chatterton (Aermacchi) showcased his talent at the Southern 100 race. It was here that he first caught the attention of fellow racers like Arthur Wheeler (Guzzi) and Blake Osborne (NSU). Throughout his career, Chatterton rode for various teams and manufacturers. In 1993, he dominated the Ultra Lightweight TT aboard a Honda bike, proving that age was just a number when it came to his prowess on two wheels. Fast forward to 2007 when Mick Chatterton took part in a Parade Lap riding for Maxton Yamaha. This event allowed him to reflect on his illustrious career while thrilling fans with one last display of speed and precision. Chatterton's achievements were not limited to one particular race or category. In 1971, he triumphed at both the Junior TT riding for Yamaha and Lightweight TT representing Chat Yamaha. These victories solidified him as a force to be reckoned with in multiple disciplines. His success continued throughout the years; in 1969, riding for Triumph, he conquered the Production TT race while also securing an impressive win at Aermacchi during the Junior TT. The lightweight class seemed tailor-made for Chatterton's skills as he clinched victory after victory aboard Yamaha bikes. His wins include notable races such as the Lightweight TT in 1967 representing Yamaha and again in 1971 under Chat Yamaha team colors. Chatterton's final hurrah came in 1973 when he raced under Chat Yamaha once more at the Junior TT event.
