This photo print, titled "Byron as he appeared after his daily ride at Pisa and Genoa, c1820s" captures the essence of George Gordon Byron, one of England's most renowned poets from the Romantic era. The image showcases Lord Byron in a side view, his profile highlighted against a striking black background. Taken by Gaspar Netscher in 1911, this cutout portrait beautifully portrays Byron during his time living in Italy. Known for his love of adventure and exploration, Byron is depicted here after one of his daily rides through the picturesque landscapes of Pisa and Genoa.
