In this historic moment captured in 1949, the Enola Gay, the iconic Superfortress bomber that carried the atomic bomb "Little Boy" during the first nuclear attack in war, is presented to the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. The logbook of the aircraft is being handed over from Major-General Curtis LeMay's deputy, Major-General Joseph O'Donnell (right), to Mr. C. Mittman (left) of the Smithsonian Institution.
