In this print, mythological hero Bellerophon boldly rides atop the magnificent Pegasus, the winged horse, as they charge towards the monstrous Chimera. This scene is taken from the rich tapestry of ancient Greek mythology, where Bellerophon is depicted as a brave and skilled warrior, chosen by the gods to complete a perilous task for Iobates, the king of Lycia.
