This photograph captures the majestic presence of the Japanese warship Hiei, a Kongo-class battlecruiser of the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) during the early 20th century. Commissioned in 1914, Hiei was the second of four Kongo-class battlecruisers designed by renowned British naval architect, George Thurston.
