EDITORS COMMENTS
Step into the vibrant world of Men's Fashion in 1965, as captured in this image from London Life magazine. Two exquisitely crafted cotton shirts take center stage, both boasting crisp collars and cuffs. The flowery shirt, reminiscent of the psychedelic and groovy trends of the era, is a stunning beige and white design by James Douglas, priced at 4 guineas at Clobber in Blackheath. In stark contrast, the plain black shirt by the same designer, retails for 3 9s 6d also at Clobber. The model's ensemble is further enhanced by a big 1930s-inspired blue tweed tie from Clobber, adding a touch of sophistication to the look. The three ties on the left, all hailing from the Victoria and Albert boutique, add a pop of color and pattern to the otherwise monochromatic outfit. This photograph is a testament to the evolving fashion landscape of the 1960s, where traditional styles met the avant-garde, and the Swinging Sixties came to life. The image encapsulates the essence of the era, with its blend of classic and contemporary elements, making it a must-have for any fashion or history enthusiast's collection.
