The Western Emperor Swallowtail, depicted in images 1 and 2, is a large and vibrant butterfly native to the western United States and Mexico. The male (1) is characterized by its black wings with distinctive yellow and blue markings, while the female (2) displays more subdued colors with orange and brown patches.
