Paracelsus, also known as Theophrastus Philippus Aureolus Bombastus von Hohenheim (1493-1541), was a Swiss physician, botanist, alchemist, astrologer, and general occultist. Born in Switzerland, Paracelsus is considered a seminal figure in the transition from medieval to modern science. His innovative ideas and unconventional methods challenged the established medical and scientific paradigms of his time.
