Breguet Bre. 14 A2 attack / army co-operation aircraft
Breguet Bre.14 A2 attack / army co-operation aircraft construction / manufacturers number - 16244. This aircraft seems to be fresh off the production line, with absolutely no military unit markings or insignia. More-over there seems to be a lack of military hardware too, particularly the gun-ring and flexibly mounted machine-gun in the rear cockpit, though the wind deflector is in place, forward of the rear cockpit. It appears to have the extended lower radiator similar to some aircraft delivered to the Royal Siamese Air Force. The wings are of the form used on early 14 A2 aircraft, i.e. short span with no flaps, but with the horn-balanced ailerons and scalloped trailing edges

EDITORS COMMENTS
1. Title: "A Freshly Built Breguet Bre.14 A2 Attack/Army Co-operation Aircraft (Manufacturers Number: 16244) - A Pre-Military Configuration This photograph showcases a newly constructed Breguet Bre.14 A2 attack/army co-operation aircraft, bearing the manufacturers number 16244. The absence of military unit markings or insignia, as well as the lack of military hardware such as the gun-ring and flexibly mounted machine-gun in the rear cockpit, suggests that this aircraft is still in its pre-military configuration. The wind deflector, a distinctive feature located forward of the rear cockpit, is in place. This aircraft also appears to have an extended lower radiator, a modification similar to some Bre.14 A2s delivered to the Royal Siamese Air Force. The wings exhibit the short span, with no flaps, characteristic of early 14 A2 aircraft. However, they feature horn-balanced ailerons and scalloped trailing edges. The Breguet Bre.14 A2 was a versatile aircraft, designed for both attack and army co-operation roles during World War I. It was known for its robustness, ease of handling, and good performance. Despite its pre-military configuration, this freshly built aircraft exudes an undeniable sense of readiness and potential, as it awaits its future military assignments. Manufactured by Breguet, this aircraft is a testament to the company's dedication to producing high-quality military aircraft during a time of great need. Its intricate design and meticulous construction are evident in this photograph, making it a significant historical artifact and an aviation enthusiast's delight.
