The Gloster Javelin, a British-designed and manufactured supersonic all-weather interceptor aircraft, served with the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force from 1957 until its retirement in 1974. In this image, XH892 can be seen in its F(AW).9R configuration, having undergone conversion from its earlier F(AW).7 variant in 1960.
