Originally built as a de Havilland Heron 2 with the manufacturer's serial number 14060 in 1954, this aircraft was later exported to Turkey and registered as TC-HAT, serving with Deviet Hava Yollari until 1955. The Heron 2 underwent significant transformation in the late 1970s, when it was converted into a Riley Turbo Skyliner. The aircraft's new identity was first recorded in the United States, where it was registered as N416SA. Prior to its conversion, the Heron 2 had a varied history. Between 1968 and 1971, it flew as N510FW for Wright Airlines, and later with Orange Blossom Commuter and Aat in the early 1970s. In the late 1980s, the Riley Turbo Skyliner N416SA was registered as HI-582CT and flew for Servicios Aereos Profesionales. By 2003, it was stored at KFPR, and its current status is unknown, with some sources suggesting it may have been scrapped.
