The Lightning, a iconic British-designed and manufactured supersonic interceptor, is depicted in its final years of service at the village of Binbrook in Lincolnshire. The Lightning F.6 was an advanced variant of the English Electric Lightning, featuring an upgraded Avon RA.14 engine, improved radar, and an extended nose to accommodate the new equipment.
