The F-86F Sabre, a single-engine, all-weather tactical fighter aircraft, was a prominent Cold War era military aircraft, known for its remarkable agility and speed. In June 1961, this Sabre was part of the 51st Fighter Squadron's inventory. However, by July of the same year, it was struck off charge from the US Air Force. The following November, the Portuguese Air Force acquired the Sabre, assigning it to 5364.52 ESQ (501st Fighter Group). The jet continued its service in the Portuguese Air Force until it was eventually struck off charge once more in November 1978.
