Philippos V of Macedon, also known as Philippos the Monger or Philippos the Bastard, was a powerful and influential king who ruled over the ancient Greek kingdom of Macedon from 238 to 179 BC. Philippos came to power after the assassination of his father, Perseus, in 168 BC.
