The image is taken from Frederic Cuvier's "Dictionary of Natural Science: Mammals," published in Paris, France, in 1816. The Sunda stink badger, native to Southeast Asia, is a unique member of the weasel family. With its short, powerful limbs and stocky build, it resembles a badger more than its badger-like name suggests. Its most distinctive feature, however, is its ability to emit a foul-smelling spray from its anal glands as a defense mechanism.
