Mums - That Crown out of it look is new! No, no that suit has not shrunk

Mums - That Crown out of it look is new! No, no that suit has not shrunk. The " half-ma t" trousers and sleeves and the super-short jacket were designed that way. The suit is the latest thing for boys aged about six to eight. It was shown in London yesterday (14-9-56) by the man who created it, fashion expert John Cavanagh, who usually makes exlusive clothes for women. The suit, which is going to an international clothing exhibition in America, is Cavanaghs idea of how a British boy should be dressed for formal wear. He said last night: " I don t know much about boys of six, but this is the way i should like to see them dressed". School boy David Robinson, 8, whos seen here modelling the suit had the last word. He said: " Its lovely - but I m no caused to shorts and a blazer." September 1956 P008685

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this vintage photo print, we see a young boy named David Robinson modeling the latest fashion trend for boys aged six to eight. The suit, designed by renowned fashion expert John Cavanagh, features unique half-mat trousers and sleeves paired with a super-short jacket. This unconventional style is causing quite a stir among mothers who are not accustomed to seeing their little ones dressed in such avant-garde attire. Cavanagh, known for his exclusive women's clothing designs, decided to venture into children's fashion and presented this groundbreaking suit at a London exhibition. His vision was to redefine how British boys should be dressed for formal occasions. The outfit has caught the attention of international audiences as it is set to be showcased at an upcoming clothing exhibition in America. While Cavanagh believes that this suit perfectly embodies his idea of how young boys should dress, David Robinson has different thoughts on the matter. As he confidently poses in the ensemble, he charmingly remarks that although he finds it lovely, he prefers not being confined to shorts and a blazer. This photograph captures both the excitement surrounding this new fashion statement and the individuality of young David as he expresses his personal style preferences. It serves as a nostalgic reminder of 1950s fashion trends while showcasing Cavanagh's innovative approach towards children's clothing design.
