Angey June whacked him with her horn, just missing his eye, and sent him packing. Basha was not a pretty sight yesterday as he moped about his London Zoo enclosure. Even think-skinned keepers felt sorry for the rejected lover. The consoled him with snacks of bananas while a vet dressed his wounds. Basha was taken to London from KentOs Port Lympne zoo two weeks ago as part of a breeding programme. A London spokesman reflected: Unless the female is in season, rhinos fight when they get together.
